Course Description

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) has aligned with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. This e-course is intended for workers who may be exposed to hazardous products at work. Successful completion of this course meets basic requirements for WHMIS training in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Employers must provide worksite-specific training for hazardous products in their workplace, as cited in Part 22, Section 325 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

WHMIS 2015 for Workers in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut is an e-learning course developed by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety in partnership with the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
